Fourth Grader Wins Alpharetta Elementary Spelling Bee

Student from Michael Witt's class will represent the school in the Fulton County Schools Spelling Bee next month.

A fourth grader won the Alpharetta Elementary Spelling Bee on Friday, Jan. 6t, and will go on to the county competitoin.

Nilah Wharton from Michael Witt's fourth grade class was the winner in the Spelling Bee for the fourth and fifth grade spelling finalists. Nilah will go on to represent AES at the county contest to be held in February.
Nicholas Gokhman from Pam Haight's fifth grade class was the runner-up and will represent AES at the county contest in the event that Nilah would not be able to attend.

The following students were fourth and fifth grade finalists who participated in the competition, and the teachers in whose classes they attend.
