ALPHARETTA HOSTS GARDENING CLASSES FOR HOMEOWNERS 

MAINTAINING AND PRUNING SHRUBS AND ROSES

Are you interested in improving your property but aren’t sure how to approach it? Do you want to maintain your landscape better but don’t know when (and how) to do it?  The North Fulton Master Gardeners and the UGA Cooperative Extension in Fulton County are conducting a free class for homeowners.  The Alpharetta class is offered by the City of Alpharetta, Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission and the Alpharetta Garden Club.  It will be held on Wednesday, May 16th from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm at the Alpharetta Engineering/Public Works Department, 1790 Hembree Road, Alpharetta, GA 30009.

While many of your shrubs may have already flowered (and others, like roses, will bloom again), they all need to be prepared for Atlanta’s summer heat and possible lack of rain.  If they have grown too large for their location, they may need to be pruned at the right time and done the right way.
