Cambridge High Adding Teachers, Coaches from North Fulton Schools

The Cambridge High community came to meet new teachers and coaches for the school that Principal Ed Spurka said is about 80 percent built, but quite a few of the faces were familiar to the parents and some student Wednesday night.

Spurka invited the community to , his base of operations until Cambridge High is ready for staff and students, to meet his latest hires, some of the department chairs and coaches for the school.

He expects to announce the chorus and orchestra directors, both coming from Gwinnett County, in the next two weeks.

Other hires haven't been announced as the teachers and coaches have to be hired through the surplus process

"They knew coming in here tonight that if they weren't public before this meeting, they are now," Spurka said. "They are ready to get to work."

Spurka also asked the community for two favors:

1. "Spread the word about Cambridge."
2. "If you have any questions about Cambridge High School, please do not ask the staff at Milton, do not ask the staff at Alpharetta. They are not Cambridge. I ask you to ask my staff."
