Cambridge Falls to Creekview in High School Wrestling

Wednesday marked the home opener for the Cambridge Bears wrestling team, who were defeated 52-20 by Creekview.

The Cambridge High School Bears fell to the Creekview Grizzlies in their home opener on Nov. 21.

Ryan Hoff lost to Creekview sophmore Justin Goss (Weight 126 lbs) in a pin.  The Bears defeated Creekview senior Michael Edwards (138lbs), 2-0. but then Creekview swept the middle weights with pins by Austin Collett (145lbs), Justin Pettyjohn (152lbs), Hunter Smith (160lbs) and Michael Crafton (170lbs). 

Christian Saragusa (220lbs) picked the action back up with a pin in 32 seconds over Edward Aganou of Cambridge.

Brock Tupman (285lbs) battled heavyweight Kryshna Tanksley of Cambridge for almost three full periods to get the pin at 5:34.

Creekview freshman Ryan Camp (106lbs) defeated Cambridge wrestler Jared Kelly with a pin in 41 seconds, followed by a major decision by Grizzly freshman Grant Slater (113lbs) over the Bears Christopher Anderson.

The Bears next match will be away on Nov. 28 against Central Gwinnett. On Nov. 17, the Bears came in third at the Kennesaw Mountain Duals.
