Cambridge Bears Men's Tennis Team Hosts State Playoff Match

The first-year high school lost to Northview last week, but is a second seed in the state tournament.

The Cambridge High School Bears Men's Tennis team lost a hard fought match to the Northview Titans Wednesday, April 17, to finish as runners up in  the 7-AAAAA Region Championship.

Despite tremendous momentum coming off of a thrilling victory over Pope, the Bears could not overcome some outstanding play by Northview and ended up getting closed out in 3 of the 5 matches.

The strong performance during the regular season combined with placing second in the region tournament earn the men's tennis team a No. 2 seed spot going into the state playoffs.  The Bears have their eyes on a bigger prize starting this week in the  first round of the state playoffs.
