Author/Illustrator Brings Puppet to Help Teach Children

Cogburn Woods students learn Georgia history with the help of Jeremiah the Bullfrog.

Author/illustrator Pam Alexander spoke with second graders at last month about Georgia history and regions of Georgia, which is part of second grade studies Georgia as part of their social studies curriculum.

Teachers say Ms. Alexander did a wonderful job talking about the regions of Georgia as well as sharing her puppet, Jeremiah the Bullfrog who has traveled back in time to meet James Oglethorpe, Mary Musgrove and Tomachichi. The children and teachers really enjoyed her visit.
