Alpharetta Girl Scores Winning Goals in Soccer Championship

The Atlanta Academy girls soccer teams is celebrating a recent championship victory over The Atlanta Girls School.

Julia Horras of Alpharetta scored both goals in the Atlanta Academy girls soccer team's championship victory in the Division II Metro Atlanta Athletic Conference.

The girls' soccer team–consisting of fifth through eighth graders–beat Torah Day School 2-0 in overtime to make it to the championship game, where they played The Atlanta Girls School.

The team won the championship game, 2-1. Both goals were scored by Horras, a fifth grader at the school. Team goalie Alejandra Gleason, a sixth grader, was also instrumental in the win.
