Alpharetta Students Heading to NAIA National Championships

SCAD's women's and men's swimming teams have been ranked and will compete in the NAIA national championships later this month.

Mary Rose Palermo of Alpharetta, a sophomore pursuing a degree in advertising design, is a member of the women's team, which is ranked third in the nation by the NAIA Women's Swimming and Diving Coaches Poll-No. 2, released Jan. 31.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches from the NAIA Swimming & Diving Coaches Association. The second poll will be released on Feb. 24.

Chris Wilson of Alpharetta,  a junior, is a member of the SCAD men’s swim team, which is ranked fourth and also will compete in the NAIA national championships. He's pursuing a degree in film and television.
