Alpharetta Students Gain Acceptance to Colby College

The graduates of Mount Pisgah Christian and Alpharetta High schools join a select group at the Maine college.

 Local high school graduates enrolled in Colby College in Waterville, ME, this fall, surviving a selective process that only had an acceptance rate of 26 percent, according to a news release from ReadMedia.

K. Owens Strawinski of Alpharetta is a graduate of Mount Pisgah Christian School. She is the daughter of James and Tyler Strawinski of Alpharetta.

Nathan D. Trivers of Alpharetta is a graduate of Alpharetta High School. He is the son of Daniel and Kathryn Trivers of Alpharetta.

Founded in 1813, Colby College is the 12th-oldest independent liberal arts college in the nation. Colby provides a rigorous academic program that fosters transformational relationships between students and faculty. The college enrolls 1,863 students.
