Alpharetta, Milton Student Projects Going to State Fair

The Fulton County Schools Regional Science and Engineering Fair sends 45 science fair projects to state competition at UGA next month.

More than 200 student scientists and engineers recently displayed their exhibits at the 2012 Fulton County Schools Regional Science and Engineering Fair, including students from Alpharetta and Milton schools.

Many students worked in teams, and the junior division (grades 6-8) drew 93 projects and the senior division (grades 9-12) drew 78 projects. After earning first place at the county competition, 45 Fulton projects now advance to the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair, to be held March 29-31 at the University of Georgia.

The regional competition was open to students in middle school and high school whose research projects were deemed exemplary at their school fair.
