Alpharetta, Johns Creek Students Accelerate Their Education
Reading program showed children's love of books during Valentine's week.
Students participating in Ocee Elementary's Accelerated Reader program celebrated their love of reading this month with a special Valentine promotion in the computer lab.
For several days, approximately 100 students visited the computer lab each morning before school to take a quiz on books they had read and to earn points towards rewards distributed each month.
Accelerated Reader is a PTA-sponsored reading comprehension enrichment program designed to motivate and increase independent reading throughout the year.
