Readers' Choice: What is the Best Place for a 'Staycation'

Summer is fast approaching and the kids are taking tests as they near the last day of school. With gas prices rising and falling–but still staying above $3.50 a gallon–it seems a good time to find some places close by to start enjoying vacation time. That's why this week we ask for our Readers' Choice of Best Staycation.

Some of these choices might not seem too obvious, but did you know people travel from all over the Southeast, and even from farther away, to visit American Girl? Local hotels such as the Windward Marriott have special rooms for the girls whose parents bring them to Alpharetta.
