Will Gurley Honored For 13 Years On Planning Commission

For 13 years Will Gurley has served on Alpharetta Planning Commission, seeing the boom times, the housing bust and now the beginnings of recovery. Now he has retired from the position.
On Monday, Nov. 18, Alpharetta City Council honored Gurley for his service.
City Council member D.C. Aiken appointed Gurley to a regular commission seat. Aiken said he appointed Gurley to make his own decisions and "not be a puppet of D.C. Aiken."
Aiken and several planning commissioners agreed that Gurley was deliberate in his decisions and held to his principles, beliefs and convictions.
