Want to Run for Alpharetta City Council?

Get $450 and make plans to stop by City Hall the last week of August if you want a seat on council.

Alpharetta will hold a municipal election for three City Council seats on Tuesday, Nov. 5 – Posts 1, 2 and 3.

Those city residents who want to run for one of these offices will be able to qualify between Monday, Aug. 26 and Friday, Aug. 30 in the Alpharetta City Clerk's office, which will be open from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

It's not free to run for office. The qualifying fee is $450, which is based on 3 percent of the total gross salary for the office for the previous year.
