Looking for a job in public safety? The City of Milton is actively seeking police recruits, as posted on its website.

As part of the process, recruits may be asked to fill out an application, undergo a background check, and take a drug screen and post-offer physical.

Located in North Fulton County, Milton is a full-service government providing police, fire and other services to a population of 33,000.
Duties and responsibilities include patrolling assigned zone to maintain visibility and observe and deter possible criminal activity and responding to all requests for assistance.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma (or GED equivalent), Bachelor degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• No felony or domestic violence convictions.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Preference will be given to those applicants who are currently GA Peace Officer Certified.

Successful candidates will pass a physical agility test, written examination, oral interview, polygraph examination, background investigation, employment verification, psychological examination and physical examination including drug screen.

Annual Salary: $32,500- $40,000/year DOQ. Plus take home car program and excellent benefits.
