What projects and needs are biggest for Alpharetta and Milton residents?

Clear your calendar for Wednesday night and set the DVR if you want to tell the Atlanta Regional Transportation Roundtable what your transportation priorities are for Fulton County and the metro region.

Residents of North Fulton are invited to provide their input on a draft list of transportation investments, to be funded by a regional, penny sales tax referendum next summer. The Atlanta Regional Transportation Roundtable will host a forum at the from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21.

This forum is one of 12 that will be held around the region as the Roundtable solicits feedback from the public on the more than $6 billion in transportation investments.

Roundtable members are required by law to finalize the list by Oct. 15 and want as much public feedback as possible.

“Roundtable members have already heard from more than 200,000 citizens and have worked very hard to develop a list of transportation investments that will give people across metro Atlanta more travel options and reduce congestion,” said Norcross Mayor Bucky Johnson, chairman of the Roundtable. “Now we need to hear from residents one more time so we can be sure the investments on the list are the ones that best meet the needs of the region.”
