The Alpharetta City Council will consider awarding a bid to a company to perform design services for improvements to the Rucker Road corridor during its meeting tonight.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Alpharetta City Hall.
Alpharetta Staff is recommending to the council it award a bid to Parsons Brinckerhoff, Inc. to perform the design for $442,000.
Residents living along the road have asked for improvements to pedestrian amenities, better access from neighborhoods and relief from heavy traffic. They've also called for more travel lanes that would connect Old Milton Parkway to Highways 92 and 140.
The council will also consider awarding bids to Engineered Restoration, Inc. to perform its fiscal year 2014 bridge maintenance work at $113,136 and another bid to o Traffic Markings, Inc. to perform fiscal year 2014 pavement markings.
Council members are slated to move into executive session to discuss personnel and real estate following the regular meeting.
