Riley at RNC: 'Ga. is Going to do Them Proud'

Johns Creek's delegate at Republican National Convention arrived in Tampa Sunday.

Lynne Riley, Representative for Georgia House, District 50 arrived in Tampa, Fla., for the Republican National Convention on Sunday. The Johns Creek resident spent the first part of the day with other Georgia delegates at the Governor's luncheon at their hotel, the Grand Hyatt in Tampa.

After lunch, she boarded a bus and rode into downtown Tampa. Walking to the Tampa Bay Times Forum, many members in her group stopped to pose for photos outside the convention.

The highlight of the trip so far for Riley, resident of nearby Johns Creek, was meeting former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee. Riley and the other Georgia delegates had dinner last night at Tampa's well known Columbia Restaurant in historic Ybor City.

"It was fantastic" she said. "The scallops were worth this trip all by themselves."
As she made her way into the Forum for day 2 of the RNC, she made a pledge to residents back home.
