Recreation and Parks Coordinator Best in the District

Anna Virgo, program coordinator for the Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department, was named 2013 GA Recreation and Parks Association Seventh District Distinguished Programmer of the Year. The award was announced at the district awards banquet in Lawrenceville on Oct. 23.

Mrs. Virgo, who has been employed by the city since August 2010, was recognized for her demonstrated commitment to improving the quality of recreation programs offered by the Recreation and Parks Department. She is a certified parks and recreation professional and a certified pool operator who oversees a variety of recreation programs including the gymnastics program, swim lessons, and the Alpharetta Sharks Swim Team.

Anna has shown a passion for serving the Alpharetta community through recreation and parks and is an integral part of the success of the department.
