Public Gets Say in Crabapple Crossroads Master Plan

Milton will hold a meeting March 14 to present ideas to its residents and to get feedback.

Mark your calendar for Monday, March 14 if you want to learn about the future of the Crabapple Crossroads community and Milton's proposed City Center.

The public is invited to a special Crabapple planning meeting Monday, March 14 at 5 p.m. at .

This meeting, presented by Lew Oliver Inc. Whole Town Solutions, will delve into transportation, connectivity, building design, identity and long-term planning needs of the Crabapple Crossroads community and the City of Milton's future City Center, according to a news release from Jason Wright, the city's Communications manager. It will feature a short presentation and discussion on topics that including zoning tools like the transfer of development rights - a potentially powerful conservation option that could greatly influence the area's "village" concept.

The goal of this process is updating and retooling the existing Crabapple Crossroads Master Plan to more accurately reflect the economic, transportation and growth realities of the area.

"It is vitally important that all aspects of the community - schools, churches, businesses and residences - are represented at this meeting," said Lynn Tully, Milton's Director of Community Development. "We are looking for a wide variety of viewpoints and experiences to make this happen. I hope you'll join us."
