Public Gets Look at Milton Zoning Cases for 150 More Homes

The community review meeting will be held at Milton City Hall on Deerfield Parkway.

Milton holds a community review meeting at 7 p.m. today at City Hall on zonings for more than 150 additional homes.

Community review meetings are an opportunity for the city to present zoning applications to local residents.

Among the applications are:

Arrowhead Real Estate Partners, northeast corner of Bethany Bend and Cogburn Road: To rezone from agricultural to neighborhood unit plan) to develop 28 single-family residences on 9.09 acres.


Fuqua and Associates, 13980 Freemanville Road: To rezone from AG-1 to CUP to develop 9 single-family residences on 16.98 acres. 

Piedmont Atlantic Capital, 14738 Birmingham Highway: To rezone from AG-1 to CUP to develop 17 single-family residences.

Ashton Atlanta Residential LLC, 13941 and 13943 Ga. 9 North: To rezone from O-I to townhouse residential to develop 24 single-family residences. 

Christopher Perry, 16340 Birmingham Highway with additional frontage on New Bull Pen Road containing a total of approximately 65.71 acres: To rezone from AG-1 to community unit plan to develop 54 single -family residences. 

Acadia Homes and Neighborhoods LLC , 975 Birmingham Road and 15755 Birmingham Highway containing a total of 22.3 acres: To rezone from mixed use and AG-1 to community unit plan) to develop 55 single-family residences.

The City of Milton describes itself as "a distinctive community that embraces small-town life and heritage while preserving and enhancing the city’s rural character." It goes on to say "Historically farmland, Milton has been and will continue to be preserved thanks to smart land-use policies and an emphasis on balanced development." We are not against progress or development - we just ask the City of Milton and Developers to hold true to the description of Milton on the city's website and preserve our slice of paradise, the Milton, GA we all love. Please stop rezoning the land. There is multiple parcel's of land that are zoned AG-1 and the city continues to rezone these new developments to CUP. This was a fulton county practice and our MILTON team should step up and do the right thing. PLEASE keep the intended AG-1 zoning and help maintain adequate buffers and save our natural streams. This is a win/win for all of us. Controls need to be put in place to preserve the land for it's intended use. If it's zoned AG-1 it needs to be developed as an AG-1...STOP THE MADNESS. It's time for everyone to step up and reach out to our friends at City Council and let' fight to keep Milton beautiful.
