Proposed Subdivisions Withdrawn in Milton

Both subdivision would have built over 50 new homes in the city.

Developers for two proposed subdivisions that were slated to be built in the city of Milton have withdrawn their applications.

The Milton City Council on Monday accepted the requests to withdraw their cases without prejudice from Christopher Perry and Acadia Homes and Neighborhoods, LLC.

Perry originally petitioned the city to rezone 66.4 acres of land at 16340 Birmingham Highway from agricultural to community unit plan to develop 52 single family residences.

Acadia also withdrew its petition to rezone 22.3 acres at 975 Birmingham Road and 15755 Birmingham Highway from agricultural to community unit plan to build 55 new homes.

Council members also approved appointing Noel Carpenter to the Milton Planning Commission to represent District 2/Post 1.
