The city of Alpharetta wants to make sure its adults aren't left out of the fun with its recreation programs.

The city will offer three classes at its Adult Activity Center at North Park, and are "great opportunities to meet new friends, learn new skills, and improve your overall health," the city said in a press release.

The classes are:

Put On Your Dancin' Shoes: Residents can learn a variety of moves including Ballroom, East Coast/West Coast Swing, or Country & Western dance routines. Lessons will be held at the Wills Park Recreation Center starting Monday.

Beginner Stained Glass Classes: This class is designed for people interested in learning a new craft and having fun while creating a unique piece of art. The copper foil method will be taught in this four week class between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. starting Tuesday, March 4. The cost for the four week session is $40 per person and participants are required to bring their own glass (2 12” x 12” color sheets and 1 clear). Residents can sign up at the Alpharetta Adult Activity Center, but are required to sign up as soon as possible since space is limited.

Think Outside the Bucket!: These new, six-week acrylic painting classes for adults will be held on noon Wednesdays. The cost is $60 per person and includes all supplies. Residents can just show up and paint.

For information on the new classes, call (678) 297-6140 or email activeadults@alpharetta.ga.us.
