The Georgia Department of Transportation plans to widen S.R. 9 from Windward Parkway to the Forsyth County line, and will make improvements at the Bethany Bend intersection.

The city of Milton will hold an open house to gather feedback on proposed concept plans for improvements slated to come to the S.R. 9/Bethany Bend intersection.

The open house will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 21 in the council chambers at Milton City Hall.

The city of Milton will join forces with the Georgia Department of Transportation to widen S.R. 9 from Windward Parkway to the Forsyth County line, and the project will include improvements to the state highway's intersection with Bethany Bend.

City hall is at 13000 Deerfield Parkway. There will be no formal presentation.
"The meeting will allow the public to view the proposed project, ask questions and comment on the proposals," said Sara Leaders, PE, transportation engineer for the city of Milton. "We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to let us know your view of the concepts."
