Milton Man's Trial in Stepson's Shooting Death Begins Today

The following trial alert was supplied by the Office of the Fulton County District Attorney office police. An indictment does not indicate a conviction.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin today, Dec. 9 in the trial against a Milton man accused of murdering his stepson inside his Genesis Way home in February 2012.

Eric Brandon, 48, is charged with murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in connection with the shooting death of 16-year-old Alexander Koser. 

Milton Police discovered the teen’s body inside his Genesis Way home on Feb. 12, 2012. He had been fatally shot in the chest with a 12-gauge shotgun which was recovered near his body.

Police were called to the home by the defendant following the shooting. He was arrested at the scene and indicted the following May.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Henry Newkirk is presiding over court proceedings. Opening statements may begin as early as this afternoon.
