Milton Making Big Plans for Crabapple Crossroads with Public's Help

Open house, planning meeting used to get community involvement in the future of the area.

Milton wants to make big plans for Crabapple, and today is a very busy day in that process, with an open house all day and a planning meeting after a City Council meeting.

With the help of a consultant, the city aims to update and retool the existing  Crabapple Crossroads Master Plan to reflect the economic, transportation and growth realities of the area.

All meetings are open to the public, which has been invited to provide input.

At 7 p.m. today, the city has scheduled a meeting for working professionals and families that it calls the most convenient time to gather.

These meetings, all held at Milton's City Hall, 13000 Deerfield Parkway Suite 107 (click here for directions), are open to the public and input is always welcome.

Anyone unable to attend any of these meetings or open houses can send email to crabapple@cityofmiltonga.us.

The city held stakeholder group meetings last week with Crabapple business owners,  churches, schools, the Historic Preservation Commission, property owners, neighborhoods and the Parks and Recreation Advisory board.

All of this begins to come together in Tuesday, March 22 and Friday, March 25 at 4 p.m. at Milton City Hall. These meetings will include drawings and presentations on how the planning is evolving based on the input from the previous meetings.

For information on any of these meetings or open houses, contact city planner Michele McIntosh-Ross at 678-242-2538 or e-mail michele.mcintosh@cityofmiltonga.us.
