Milton Halts Rezonings Along Highway 9 Corridor

The city of Milton has imposed a 30 day moratorium on accepting rezoning applications along the 2014 Highway 9 Vision Area.

The city of Milton has placed a 30-day moratorium on accepting rezoning applications along its Highway 9 corridor.

The Milton City Council during its special called meeting on Monday unanimously approved the moratorium, which will be in place in the area defined in the 2014 Highway 9 Vision Area.

The property covered under the moratorium includes S.R. 9 from Bethany Bend to the Forsyth County line.

Milton leaders plan to develop separate rezoning and development guidelines in the areas covered under the plan.
