Milton City Council approves a $1.25 million purchase of approximately 5 acres of land that could connect the school to the highway.

Milton City Council approved closing on approximately 5 acres of land between GA 9 and Cogburn Road that could give the new high school another access point.

The City Council approved the closing documents for the $1.25 million property located at 13690 GA 9 at a meeting on Feb. 23. The city was buying the property from Wooden Cross Investments LLC.

City Manager Chris Lagerbloom said ideas for this property are to use it for a public safety facility or to build a road to connect the new high school being built at Bethany Bend and Cogburn to GA 9.
