Milton Asks Residents for Arnold Mill Vision

The heavily traveled commuter corridor of Hwy. 140 had been scheduled for major improvements under T-SPLOST, but that funding plan failed when presented to voters.

Do you have a vision for the future of the Arnold Mill Road corridor? How would you design the roadway for GA 140, which is heavily traveled by motorists commuting to and from Cherokee County?

Alpharetta just adopted some roadway cross sections for Rucker Road, which is where many of those motorists end up if they don't travel down Crabapple Road. Now Milton residents can have their say on the commuter corridor in their city.

The visioning meetings start at 6 p.m. today at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, and continue on Wednesday and Thursday nights in other locations.

During these meetings residents will be asked to provide insight into what they feel is appropriate for the future of the heavily traveled road, according to the city's website. All information taken from these meetings will be used to craft a development plan for the corridor in line with community desires.

For more information on this process or to schedule a meeting June 5, email Michele McIntosh-Ross or call her at 678-242-2538 or e-mail .
