Milton Approves Agreements to Use Schools for Recreation Programs
The city will make improvements to school fields in exchange for their use.
Milton City Council approved agreements with several of Milton's middle and elementary schools during its Feb. 23 meeting to provide locations for the city's spring and fall sports programs.
Parks and Recreation Director Cyndee Bonacci told City Council she had finalized the agreements with the schools. While each plan will be different, each school will receive improvements in exchange for the usage of its outdoor amenities. Installation and maintenance of irrigation systems for multi-use fields will be done at a few of the schools.
The indoor space that will be used by the Parks and Recreation department will be paid for at the Fulton County School System's established hourly rate.
