Mayor, Council Invite All City Residents to a Holiday Open House

Mayor Joe Lockwood is opening the doors to his home on Sunday, Dec. 15, and with the help of City Council will hold the Mayor's Holiday Open House.

Every Milton resident is invited to the second annual Mayor's Holiday Open House on Sunday, Dec. 15, from 4-7 p.m. at Mayor Joe Lockwood's home on Dorris Road.

The City Council will host the event, which is an effort to create the most welcoming, inclusive community in the state, according to a news release from the city.

All food and drinks will be donated by City Council and local businesses.

If you think that the Mayor's house won't have enough parking for everybody, and you are correct. But that's not a problem, because parking will be available at Milton High School on Birmingham Highway, with shuttles taking residents to and from the Mayor's home from 4-7 p.m.

To RSVP, e-mail rsvp@cityofmiltonga.us and include your name and address to verify you are a Milton resident. You will be sent an invitation to print out.
