Local Bank Awards Alpharetta Police Officer for Community Work

Chris Massey was named the PACT Officer of the Year in a vote by the communities that officer serve.

Alpharetta Police Officer Chris Massey was presented with a $500 check from Alpharetta’s State Bank and Trust Company for being named the PACT Officer of the Year at the annual Alpharetta Public Safety awards event.

PACT stands for “Police and Citizens Together." This program assigns a police officer or firefighter to each community within Alpharetta. Alpharetta public safety employees are empowered to help residents with quality of life issues within their assigned community and are asked to hold meetings with the residents designed to foster relationships, said George Gordon, spokesman for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.

Each year, the communities are asked to vote for the PACT Officer of the Year award. Officer Massey received the most votes and was selected.
