GDOL to Host ‘Surviving a Layoff’ Online Chat on Wednesday, Jan. 25
Visit Patch to participate in the Georgia Department of Labor's 90-minute question-and-answer chat to discuss how to deal with unemployment and find a new job.
The Georgia Department of Labor wants to help unemployed Georgians get back to work, and you can join the discussion through Alpharetta-Milton Patch.
On Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 11:30 a.m., Patch will carry the Department of Labor's live 90-minute online chat in which a panel of experts will provide information on:
- Dealing with unemployment,
- Networking,
- Locating financial and job search resources,
- Preparing for job interviews,
- Retooling and setting goals,
- Conducting self-assessments,
- Recognizing the dos and don’ts of job search,
- Developing effective job search documents,
- Understanding labor market information, and
- Identifying retraining opportunities.
