Fulton Warns Customers of Utility Billing Scam

Someone claiming to be from the county is demanding payments from customers over the phone.

Fulton County’s Water and Sewer billing office is warning customers of a potential scam.

Several Fulton County water and sewer customers have recently reported being the targets of a scam, say county officials.

Individuals, pretending to be calling on behalf of Fulton County water and sewer billing, have contacted local residents claiming that they need immediate payment over the phone in order to avoid service disconnection.

However, according to the county, they do not accept any form of payment by phone or even contact water and sewer customers during the evening. 

Residents who receive similar calls are asked to notify the authorities immediately.

Fulton County water and sewer customers with questions about their account should contact the billing office at 404-612-6830 or log on to https://waterbilling.fultoncountyga.gov/.
