Fulton Hosts Senior Scams Lesson in Crabapple Tuesday

"Be Aware of Tricks of the Trade: Guarding Against Senior Scams" will be held at the Crabapple Neighborhood Senior Center.

Are you a senior who is concerned about getting ripped off? Do you worry about your parents falling prey to email schemes or telemarketer lies? Then a session on guarding against those scams on Tuesday morning comes at the right time.

Fulton County is hosting another information session that teaches seniors how to protect themselves against scams. “Be Aware of the Tricks of the Trade: Guarding against Senior Scams” will be held from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, at the on Broadwell Road in Alpharetta.

Too many police incident reports about scams used against seniors shows a real need for this bit of education for any local senior.

The session is sponsored by the Housing and Human Services Department, Office of Housing and Community Development.
