The project involves the installation of approximately 7 miles of water mains and its ancillaries in Alpharetta and Johns Creek. The new pipeline will begin at the intersection of Jones Bridge Road and Buice Road, and will end at Mayfield Road in downtown Alpharetta.

This project is the most significant of a series of projects identified by the county to improve the water system supply and pressure in North Fulton County. It specifically is designed to help the system cope with peak water demands during the summer months.

Construction of the first portion of this project will occur between fall 2011 and spring 2012 and construction of the remaining project will start in 2013.
