Free Dance Classes Open to Milton Residents

Even if you don't think you can dance, you can take advantage of free classes at Bethwell Community Center this week.

You don't have to think you can dance to take free dance classes in Milton this week. The city and are offering three days of free classes Wednesday through Friday at .

The classes, being offered in honor of National Dance Day on Saturday, July 28, are based on age, according to a news release from the city:

  • Ages 7 to 11: Noon-1:30 p.m.
  • Ages 12 to 18: 2-3:30 p.m.
  • Adults (18-plus): 6-7:30 p.m.

Each class will focus on different forms of dance as featured in the popular television show "So You Think You Can Dance," said Macita St. Germain-Regnier, owner of Off Broadway Expressions. The creator of the show, Nigel Lythgoe, founded National Dance Day to spread appreciation of the art form.

"If you love to dance, if you haven't danced in years, even if you've never danced before, this is the perfect opportunity to join us and learn the exciting, meaningful and beautiful art of dance," said St. Germain-Regnier in the release. "Come work out with us and have some fun."
