Emergency Bridge Repairs Close Lane on Waters Road
While Alpharetta says the bridge is safe for vehicles now, they aren't taking chances and are fixing the bridge today.
Expect delays if you travel on Waters Road in Alpharetta today, March 25, as emergency bridge repair work is requiring lane closures.
Motorists driving on the road Monday and Monday night should anticipate those delays, which will affect the evening commute.
All that heavy rain we've been having over the last few days have caused erosion around a bridge over Long Indian Creek.

"While the bridge is currently safe for vehicular travel, the City of Alpharetta is making the emergency repairs to prevent any possible failure to the road and ensure public safety," said Assistant City Administrator James Drinkard in a news release this afternoon. "Motorists are advised to use alternative routes and avoid the affected area until all work is completed this evening."
Waters Road runs between Kimball Bridge Road in Alpharetta and Jones Bridge Road in Johns Creek.
