Demolition Starts for Alpharetta's Downtown City Center Site

The strip center that once housed Dockery's is gone, reduced to a pile of rubble by heavy equipment.

Fences surround a big piece of the future Alpharetta City Center site in downtown as crews demolish buildings that stand in the way of other site work.

On Tuesday, the strip center that used to hold a favorite breakfast and lunch spot – Dockery's – was torn down. On Wednesday, expect to see Eagle Gym disappear, and the old Fulton Water Department building that Alpharetta bought and used for Police Explorers. The Alpharetta Police Athletic League had to move its operations to Milton Center because of the demolition.
