Milton Public Works Director Carter Lucas said the first phase of the Crabapple Streetscape project will extend from the main intersection down to the new library location.
Lucas updated the Crabapple Community Association on how a Crabapple vision plan developed with Lew Oliver's help has evolved. Roundabouts at Charlotte Drive and Crabapple Chase are planned. Sidewalks are wanted on Mayfield, Crabapple and other streets - and along roadways that some residents learned to their mild dismay are in Alpharetta city limits.
Lucas said the first streetscape improvements likely will be finished after the Milton Library is built. But the time it takes isn't too upsetting since state and federal funds will pay for construction of the streetscape, roundabouts at Braeburn and at Cranapple at the other end of the connector - plus the connector between the two.
