Council to Consider Hiring Company to Manage City Festivals

Monday night, the Alpharetta City Council will consider awarding a $58,000 contract to Premiere Events to manage The Alpharetta Arts StreetFest in late April, the Taste of Alpharetta in early May, and the Wire and Wood Songwriter's Festival  next fall.

The contract will call for Premiere Events to provide the planning, marketing and implementation for all three events.

The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Alpharetta City Hall, located at 2 S. Main Street.

Local high schools have long been involved in Taste of Alpharetta and it is a great fundraiser for them. Would this be the case still or would these new 'management' companies take over the staffing of the beverages stands?
