Cool Weather Ideal for Milton Mayor's Run Saturday Morning

Most runners didn't mind the damp day, and the cool temperature was a benefit – at least until they had to stand still waiting for medals to be handed out.

The annual Milton Mayor's Run was held Saturday morning, Feb. 23, and Deerfield Parkway saw a stream of runners take off down the 5K route that started and ended at Kohl's at Ga 9 and Deerfield Parkway.

Mayor Joe Lockwood may not have run, but Recreation Director Jim Cregge and a few other city employees completed the 3.1-mile course.

The 5K was a Peachtree qualifier, so those runners who did better than average times were probably thankful for the relatively flat course.
