Classrooms Take Home Prizes in Alpharetta's Scarecrow Festival

Downtown was filled with scarecrows, farmers, artists and kids' games for the sixth annual festival.

All morning long people stopping by downtown Alpharetta could pick up some produce and other homemade products, but when 10 a.m. rolled around, it was time for the sixth annual Alpharetta Scarecrow Harvest.

Classrooms from elementary schools across the Alpharetta area designed and constructed more than 90 different scarecrows–some of them really different!

won the SchCoolest award for having the most classrooms participating. More than a third of the scarecrows were made by classrooms from the school.
