Broken Water Main in Milton Cuts Water Service, Causes Traffic Delays

Repairs should be completed by 5 p.m. today.

A broken water main will cause traffic delays as late as 5 p.m. at the intersection of Bethany Way and Hopewell Road in Milton as crews repair the pipe under the roadway.

Fulton County Department of Water Resources crews are making repairs to a broken 8-inch water main at the intersection.

One lane of each road (Bethany Way and Hopewell Road) will be closed while repairs are underway.

Approximately 75 individual water customers will be affected.  The department expects to have water service will be restored by 5 p.m. today.

Affected customers include residents on the following streets:

  • Bethany Oaks Pointe
  • Bethany Creek Court
  • Double Creek Lane
  • Uplands Court
  • Hopewell Road from Redd Road south to Bethany Bend
