Alpharetta Will Discuss City Center Plans

The council will discuss sending out requests for qualifications for developers who are interested in proceeding with the proposed City Center project.

The Alpharetta City Council on Monday will discuss its proposed City Center project during its meeting.

The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at Alpharetta City Hall.

The council will discuss sending out requests for qualifications for the project, which includes a new City Hall, a parking structure and a small park.

Room has also been set aside for a new Alpharetta library branch that the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System plans to build.

Alpharetta will also consider a resolution agreeing to settle its dispute with Fulton County on the collection and distribution of Local Option Sales Taxes, or LOST.  The agreement will mean cities in Fulton County will receive 86 percent of LOST proceeds.

The council will meet in executive session to discuss personnel and real estate.
