"The Business Awards Breakfast is about turning a spotlight onto those Alpharetta businesses that exemplify our drive for excellence (and) that seek to become the standard by which other companies in their field are measured," Abdullahi said, adding the event also gives the city's "elite businesses" a chance to network and learn about city initiatives that will impact their bottom line.

A selection committee will review the submissions received to identify the businesses that are most deserving of further recognition. Businesses must submit the name of and information about the award received in 2013, why they were given the honor, a brief overview about their company and a list of representatives they'd like to attend the breakfast (if selected).
