Alpharetta Shares City Center Update

The exterior of the parking deck is now complete, and the new City Hall building is starting to take shape.

The city of Alpharetta has shared its latest time lapse video showing the progress of its City Center project.

The exterior of the parking deck is complete, street trees are being planted and many of the streets have been laid, said Assistant City Administrator James Drinkard.

Brick accents are being installed along some of the streets and within the walkways in the Town Green.

The new City Hall is also taking shape, as contractors are now in the process of building its brick exterior. That building is slated to be largely completed by mid to late September and occupation is expected to start during the first week of November, one month later than originally anticipated.

The city in July 2013 broke ground for the Alpharetta City Center, which will include a new city hall, a 450-space parking deck, a city park, a town square and the interior streets to access everything.

A portion of the site was donated to the Atlanta-Fulton County Library System for a new Alpharetta library branch that is expected to open early in 2015.
