Alpharetta Moves Downtown Trees Discussion to Top of Agenda

The increased public interest has prompted City Council to make plans to change its agenda so that residents can tell them what they think.

Are you planning on attending tonight's Alpharetta City Council meeting to hear about its tree plan for the City Center project? Good news: City Council is expected to move this workshop meeting to the start of the regular meeting at .

Why is this good news for those residents wanting to speak out? It's because at a workshop meeting, traditionally the public doesn't get a chance to offer opinions to City Council. During a "regular" meeting, public comment is the norm.

The majority of City Council will still have to approve this change to its agenda at the start of the meeting. So printed and online agendas most likely will show the old schedule of a workshop on City Center following the regular meeting.
