Alpharetta Could Townhomes on Main Street

The council will consider a request to rezone land to allow for 47 townhomes on Main Street at Winthrope Park Drive.

The Alpharetta City Council on Monday will consider approving a request to rezone land to accommodate close to 50 townhomes.

Tonight's meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. at Alpharetta City Hall.

Winthrope Park Townhomes has asked the city rezone about six acres from C-2 (general commercial) to R8A (for-sale medium density attached residential) to develop 47 townhome units. The land sits on the east side Main Street at Winthrope Park Drive.

Council members are also set to consider a request from Broadwell House to rezone .7 acres from SU/O-P (special use) to R8A to allow for the development of six for-sale condominium units.

This particular property is located at the corner of Arklow Drive and Marstow Drive and is adjacent to the Crabapple Crossroad and Crabapple Station mixed-used developments in Milton.
