Road Reopened After Wreck Damaged Power Lines

South of Providence Road the street had been closed as crews repair the power lines.

UPDATE: It took several hours on July 12, but Freemanville Road south of Providence Road opened after crews cleaned up after an automobile accident Tuesday afternoon.

Motorists driving south on Freemanville from the Providence intersection need to drive slowly, as the roadblock is not visible from the intersection due to a small rise in the road. The detour is just south of Freemanwood Lane, the entrance to the first subdivision on the west side of Freemanville.

Fire Marshal Matthew Marietta said the road will be closed for several hours as crews repair power lines, according to a news release from the city. He said both Providence Road and Freemanville Road north of the accident site are passable.
